Silicone Soap Mould - South Australian Made.
Designed and made in South Australia by Michelle Cohen.
Our silicone moulds are all generally made to one size with thick, stable walls which are 1.5cm thick on ALL sides. They are extremely stable and safe for young adults to use.
WHAT THIS MOULD IS SUITABLE FOR: Suitable materials for pouring into the mould include melt & pour soap base, plaster, cement, resin, all waxes. Pouring temperature is hot melted SOAP TEMPERATURE only, up to 200 degrees celcius.
WHAT THIS MOULD IS NOT SUITABLE FOR:
1. METAL -These moulds are not designed to withstand metal pouring temperatures of 1000 degrees celcius. 2. COLD OR HOT PROCESSED SOAP - They have NOT been tested with cold or hot processed soap substrate. It is recommended that every mould is 'primed' before use several times, consisting of several pours and setting up of a hot beeswax substrate, melt/pour soap substrate or similar, if intending to use these moulds for cold processed soap. We provide no guarantee as to the outcome of the results using this method. Use cold processed soap mixture at your own risk, we will not refund your money for your mould if you use it for freshly cooked hot or cold processed soap!! Re-milled soap however is fine, as most of the alkali should be neutralised once the soap has cured for several weeks. (PS You may be thinking...WHY HAVEN'T I TESTED THEM WITH SOAP?! Because soap making versus moulding, carving and playing with beeswax in a warm pot is a very easy choice for me...I always choose the latter).
3. RUBBER/LATEX/SILICONE -These moulds are not suitable for silicone or rubber pouring material as basically rubber sticks to rubber.
WHAT SIZE SOAP BAR DOES THIS MOULD MAKE?
Our moulds produce a soap bar which is a fairly standard size of 8cm long x 1.5cm depth x 6cm wide.
Please note, this is a customised design and mould size that I have developed myself and is not the same size as an imported mould respectively.
